When you have been injured in an auto accident or struck as a pedestrian your physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage therapy costs are fully covered. you have access to funding to cover the cost of your rehabilitation. As a healthcare provider licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario Physio In Motion can invoice your auto insurer directly for the services you need. There are no out-of-pocket expense for our clients.
Employee Health Plans
If you have extended health insurance with your employer your benefits can be used for Physio In Motion services. Physio In Motion will discuss your extended health insurance coverage with you and give you options to make the best use of your available coverage. Direct billing to your insurer may be available.
Veteran’s Affairs Canada (VAC)
With a physician’s prescription, Physio In Motion can provide in-home physical rehabilitation including physiotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture and exercise programs for Canadian Veterans. Physio In Motion will always invoice VAC directly, there is no out of pocket expense to the veteran.
Funding for physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage is covered by the WSIB for injured workers. Physio In Motion is a registered provider for the WSIB and we can help you recover from your injuries and help you with all the paper work required by the WSIB.
There is no OHIP funding for physiotherapy services offered by Physio In Motion. You will need to visit an OHIP physiotherapy clinic.
Physiotherapy at an OHIP clinic may be covered for you if:
- are a long-term care resident who is age 18 or older
- have been discharged as an inpatient of a hospital after an overnight stay and require physiotherapy for the condition, illness or injury for which you were hospitalized
- receive income from Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program
- are aged 65 or older and require in-home physiotherapy
- are living in a long-term care home
If you situation is not listed above, the government will not cover your physiotherapy.
